IPRA, in collaboration with the OECD and the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS), hosted its third annual conference at the OECD Headquarters, Paris in June 2018. Over 150 delegates attended the conference, including speakers and representatives from Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, USA, and other nations.
The conference theme was Consistency amid Complexity: Navigating the Future of Pensions and Retirement.
The first conference session focused on the topic of ESG Investment and Pensions, and was followed by a keynote address on Retirement, Health and Pensions, delivered by Eric French, Professor of Economics at University College London, Co-Director of the Centre for the Microeconomic Analysis of Public Policy (CPP) and Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research.
The second session addressed the issue of Choice and Pension Design, with the third session exploring new Ideas for Social Protection.
A special session was also dedicated to the establishment of the International Pension Research Association.
IPRA is a collaboration between the Pension Research Council at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (USA), Netspar at Tilburg University (The Netherlands), CEPAR (Australia), and the OECD.
